Set in Grand Cayman, 2004.

Jazz Pitcairn reveals herself to be a bold new cinematic voice with her directorial debut, Ivan. A film inspired by her own personal experience during the devastating storm, and indicative of the heart-wrenching lore of her community.

Set in Grand Cayman in 2004, Grace (Sasha Lane) finds herself acting as Mom and Dad when her husband prioritizes his political campaign over their family's needs. Unwilling to sour her daughter's opinion of him, Grace navigates the fragility of parenting in a tumultuous climate as an unexpected danger descends upon them.

This short film will take you on an emotional journey and highlight the strength of a mother's love and courage. It also raises awareness of the increasing impact of climate change and the underrepresented Caribbean communities it most affects.
